Eran DD – the soulful frontman of Zapp Zapp and Drori-Hansen Furniture – is now a thriving solo artist.

In 2001, Erann DD won Best New Artist at the Danish Music Award. That same year he sang a duet with Karen Busck on the hit song Hjertet ser. In 2003, he released the album That’s the Way for Me and was chosen to write the song When You Hold Me on for Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary's wedding.

In August 2006, his third solo album Erann was released. In 2009, he released his first and so far only Danish-language album Byen kalder. In 2012, he compiled his best songs to date on a Greatest Hits album with hits like Still Believing, When You Are Around, Didn’t I Tell You That I Love You, You Better Believe, When You Hold Me, and Hjertet ser.

Since then, Eran DD – with a top-tuned voice and in the best shape of his life – has found his way back to his raw soul roots from the time with Zapp Zapp and Drori-Hansen. Featuring some of Denmark's best musicians, he recorded a personal soul album in 2015, Erann David Drori - Rockin 'My Life, with new songs. Album is in English and sounds like the great American role models from the famous Motown era of the '50s and '60s.

Everyone loves his positive, sensitive, and funky soul style, and he is renowned as one of the nation's top male vocalists.


Summer jazz festival at Klostertorvet
On Friday 9 July, Café Smagløs kicks off a week-long festival with music and good times on the city's coziest square. The square has been set up according to COVID-19 rules and we look forward to seeing you.

Through Saturday 17 July, our wonderful guests will be able to experience outdoor concerts and enjoy beer, wine, food, and cocktails at the tables.
