Release concert with captivating soul jazz

Since her debut album in 2010, American singer Indra Rios-Moore has thrilled audiences around the world with her powerful voice and soul-gospel-jazz-inspired repertoire. She is backed by an unfailingly upbeat band featuring Søren Bigum on guitar, Thomas Sejthen's earthy bass, and Benjamin Trærup's lyrical saxophone playing.  

This night, the band will present their latest album Freedom Road, which is full of musical joy and positive energy. "I'm letting go of that sorrow, I want me some of that happiness. I'm looking for the Brightside, I'm ready for some good times ... Gimme some of that Joy!", Indra sings on one of the album's original songs. In addition to her own work, the repertoire includes covers of Tom Petty, Josh White, Marvin Gaye, and traditional American jazz, folk, and gospel songs.

Indra and the band have previously released two albums on the legendary American record label Universal (Impulse! & Verve Records) to international acclaim from critics and audiences alike. In addition, they received a Grammy nomination for the album Heartland.
