Hard-hitting and tight local band to open the jazz party at Waxies

Aarhus Jazz Festival 2022 already starts on Friday at the new venue Waxies, a stone's throw from Telefontorvet, where Aarhus Jazz Club opens the doors to a hard-hitting and seasoned local group that has already delighted the jazz club's audience several times.

The newest member, trumpeter and singer Rasmus Bøgelund, has brought along his brother trombonist Nikolai Bøgelund for the occasion. As is tradition, they will battle for the spotlight to the delight of both the audience and the rest of the group. We are talking about a pair of brass talents of international caliber.

Traditional New Orleans jazz, swing, and funky rhythms are the foundation of the musical performances. The band name is inspired by Armstrong's 1926 hit Big Butter and Eggman, so it's on.
