The Ginger Pig Band began its career at a jazz club in Northampton where it was praised by the critics for its spectacular concerts. A distinguishing feature is the musicians’ totally different backgrounds, which contribute elements of jazz and rock, as well as inspiration from Celtic and African music. Ginger Pig displays an influence of London’s music of the swinging 60s while at the same time being attached to New Orleans, a city that has supplied many jazz legends to perform and tour with the band.
