Lyrical and Swinging Jazz

Quist Jazz Quintet is a jazz band from Aarhus, consisting of musicians with well over 100 years of combined experience from Danish and international stages.

The repertoire consists of their own songs combined with some of the well-known jazz classics. Tescha Quist writes the personal Danish lyrics for the band's original songs, as well as for some of the jazz standards.

The lyrical and the swinging blend beautifully in the close ensemble playing, which has been developed over many concerts. 

Quist Jazz Quintet released their first EP Sjælsomt in 2020. The title track Sjælsomt går gennem byen and the accompanying music video have become known as a declaration of love for jazz and Aarhus.
