Young Guitarist-Led Trio

Carlo Dayyani is originally from Aarhus but now lives in Berlin, where he studies at the Jazz Institute. This summer, he returns to the Aarhus Jazz Festival to play a series of concerts in various constellations.

Despite his young age, Carlo is well known for his virtuoso qualities on the instrument, which go far beyond traditional guitar playing and draw associations to the world of classical music.

Drummer and older brother Antonio Dayyani has quickly emerged as an interesting new presence on the Danish jazz scene with his solo project, winning praise from critics and radio hosts alike for his original, lyrical compositions, and organic sound. His debut album Herfra kan det kun gå to veje was on Jazznyt's list of the 10 best Danish jazz releases of 2022 and has also been played extensively on P8 Jazz.

Søren Juul is a 24-year-old double bassist. Originally from Aarhus, he now lives in Amsterdam, where he studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Søren has an insatiable appetite for playing music and making jazz history, with names like Charlie Haden and Alex Morgan as major sources of inspiration.
