Young Guitarist and Composer with Artistic Depth

Carlo Dayyani (b. 2003) is a young composer and guitarist based in Berlin, where he studies at the Jazz Institute Berlin. In his compositions, he strives to find artistic depth in limited material.

A free, wild, and improvisational spirit, mixed with the Nordic musician's desire for beautiful and narrative melodies, gives the music a compelling expression of a back and forth between anxiety-provoking chaos and an enchanting, soothing cosmos.

In terms of mood, the compositions move between dark, beautiful melancholy, and gentle, insistent euphoria. All performed with a special dynamic and technical skill that characterizes him as an instrumentalist.

For this concert, he brings a trio consisting of Gustav Hagelskjær on drums and Lukas Loeb on double bass, both sharp young profiles on the Danish jazz scene.

In March 2024, he released his debut album Melankoli Eufori.
