From Stockholm and London, the Smile of Ambidextrous Producer-Artist Smiling

LIS (aka Liselotte Östblom) blurs the lines of alternative R&B, Hip-Hop, and experimental soundscapes. LIS combines multi-layered harmonies, futuristic sounds, and poetic lo-fi beats that frame her soulful vocals, which stand at the center of her live production with loops, beat formation, and extensive improvisation.

Picked up by jazz giants like Gregory Hutchinson on the album DA BANG (2023), produced by Karriem Riggins, she has also collaborated with drummer Robert "Sput" Searight (Kendrick Lamar, Snarky Puppy), Aaron The Bassist, Sly5thAve, Yaahn "Hunter", Doobie Powell, and various British jazz artists.

Her solo shows have been featured at the Stockholm Jazz Festival and her debut mixtape PROPHECY was released in 2023, catching the attention of EARMILK and SOMEWHERE SOUL. Smiling LIS moves freely between the audible, the visual, and the performative. She often engages her audience in her solo sets through live looping, scat, spoken word, and virtuosic vocals.
