Horse Orchestra is a true melting pot. The septet consists of musicians from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland - a unique collection of young instrumentalists from the Nordic improv scene who know their musical history and are able to expose the music to a much wider audience.

1920s New Orleans meets 1960s avant-garde jazz with all kinds of beats - with detours to everything from rock to Renaissance music - creating an original, humorous, post-postmodernist expression that goes far beyond jazz music. Horse Orchestra's music is a highly energetic, lively party so infectious that listeners are happy to be immersed in the often rather extreme sonic experiments.

Horse Orchestra's latest album, The Milkman Cometh (2021), won two awards at the Danish Music Awards for the following reason: The band's many personalities, with several compositional contributors, are also the band's great strength - and the basis for their multifaceted expression. The band is ready to conquer the world with its superior musicality and understated humor.
