Late Night Jazz Jam m. Kasper Tom (DK)

For this year's Aarhus Jazz Festival, drummer Jens Emil Jensen has gathered some fantastic musicians to host the festival's official jazz jam at HeadQuarters. In addition to the official jam hosts, there will be fantastic guest musicians to open each jam, followed by an open jazz jam until 2 am, when all jazz cats are welcome to jam on stage!

Danish and international musicians from near and far will come together and form new and exciting constellations on stage – so grab your instrument and join the musical celebration! The stage is equipped with a piano, drum kit, guitar and bass amplifiers, and microphones. You can look forward to late nights where you can experience Aarhus' vibrant jazz scene unfold as local young jazz talents and established international profiles come together in musical encounters where anything can happen!

Kasper Tom:
For this jam, internationally acclaimed jazz drummer Kasper Tom Christiansen hosts some amazing musicians on stage with him!

Born in 1981 in Svendborg, Denmark, Kasper Tom belongs to the new generation of drummers who mix music from many genres and make it their own. He studied at the Funen Academy of Music and lived and worked in Berlin from 2007-2010. Since 2006, he has been leading his own bands focusing on modern composition and improvisation. Current bands include Monk's Casino, Die Enttäuschung, FUSK, Mahall / Rupp / Tom, Cesar Joaniquet Quartet, and Tom / Nissen / TB.
