Leth's Jazz with Oscar Ployart Trio
The Oscar Ployart Trio plays live jazz music with a strong melodic quality. Inspired by piano legends like Ahmad Jamal and Wynton Kelly, they interpret some of the most beautiful songs of the twentieth century. The focus is on optimism, romance, and the joy of playing.
Oscar grew up on a farm in North Jutland and has always been fascinated by music. After falling in love with the irresistible swing and energy of jazz improvisation, he moved to Amsterdam to study at the conservatory. He still lives there and can usually be found pounding away on the keys somewhere in the city or perhaps touring Europe. To complete the trio, he has invited a locomotive of irresistible rhythm - Dutchman Ties Laarakker on double bass and Swede Jakob Lindberg on drums.
