Experience one of Denmark's top jazz queens in Musikhuset

Let yourself be seduced by the swinging tones of jazz and the most beautiful, soft, and velvety soft voice when Musikhuset presents a unique evening in the company of Sinne Eeg Group.

This evening, concertgoers can experience no less than three Ben Webster Pris award-winners on the same stage, which is probably as good as it gets. Sinne Eeg Group consists of Sinne Eeg (vocals), Jacob Christoffersen (piano), Lennart Ginman (bass), and Rasmus Kihlberg (drums).

The concert will include songs from Sinne Eeg's latest album We've Just Begun, which was recorded with DR Big Band and released in November 2019. In the video below from the DR Koncertsalen venue, you can hear Sinne Eeg perform the title track from the album together with DR Big Band.

The album contains five new original compositions written by Sinne and has currently received four stars from GAFFA's reviewer Ivan Rod, who calls her one of Denmark's best jazz singers.

In October 2016, Sinne Eeg received the Queen Ingrid honorary scholarship - the last in a string of significant honors, including the Ben Webster Pris award, the DR Jazz Prisen award, four Danish Music Awards, the prestigious French jazz prize Palmares from L'Academie Du Jazz and Holstebro Municipality's music award.

Sinne Eeg is known to be, if possible, even better live than on CD. Her concerts are characterized by her great presence, humor, and enormous musical skill. This is manifested by the fact that she experiments and takes risks on stage - not least in her superb scat singing, which has to be described as being world-class. Nothing less. So look forward to a sublime evening with swinging music that lifts the spirit all the way up to the ceiling.
