Jazz for bass and mouth organ

Spend an afternoon in the company of Jacob Venndt on harp and bassist Peter Vuust, who will interpret both jazz standards and their own compositions.

Jacob Venndt is something of a multi-instrumentalist and mouth harp is just one of the instruments he excels in. Over the years, Jacob Venndt has appeared on countless albums and also released some of his own, including Jacob's Scrapbook and Jacob Venndt Group. He has a unique ability to deliver his music with great passion and lyrical expression. In addition, he is particularly known for developing so-called performance jam sessions, where he mixes artistic expressions as both musician and performer.

Peter Vuust is a professor at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus / Aalborg, head of the Center for Music in the Brain, and is also one of the country's busiest sidemen. He has been featured on more than 90 records, including with several international jazz stars such as Tim Hagans, Mal Waldron, Ted Curson, and Jukkis Uotila. He is known for his groovy and responsive backing and extremely melodic solo playing. As a composer and bassist, he has released six albums, most recently the CD Leaves of Love featuring Lars Jansson (p), Veronica Mortensen (voc), and Peter Asplund (trp).
