Jazz standards with a contemporary twist

The band looks forward to playing a selection of their favorite, classic jazz standards to the audience at Aarhus Jazz Festival.

One of my personal favorites is The Peacocks composed by Jimmy Rowles. Bill Evans and Stan Getz made such a beautiful live version of this tune back in 1974. Hence the band name The Peacocks.

The four young musicians are all extremely active on the Danish music scene and play in many different projects, from jazz to hip hop, country, blues, pop, rock, soul and RnB.

So even if the theme is classical jazz standards, they will have a contemporary twist with elements from different genres that match the band members' different musical expressions.
