Laughs, tears, and good jazz
Slam means competition. The participating poets stem from the poetry slam scene and are used to competition. On this evening, they will be forced to collaborate with a group of jazz musicians. The audience will assign points to decide who will be the jazz'n poetry slammer of the evening.
Normally, the rule of poetry slam are simple, and consist of three rules:
Everyone gets 3 minutes and 10 seconds, otherwise penalties incur.
Everyone has to write their own lyrics.
Props are not allowed
On this evening, we will adjust the rules to challenge both musicians and poets. They will be forced to collaborate and make space.
There will be improvised jazz as well as planned sets. All we know is that it will be a night of laughs, tears, and plenty of good jazz.
