A melodic universe with room for improvisation

Ebba Dankel is a Swedish pianist, composer, and singer. She made her debut on the Danish jazz scene last year. Her exquisite compositions clearly carry the mark of the classic jazz tradition, which is given a unique expression by mixing it with a modern melodic language. The combination creates a new and colorful sound, which is very special to the musician. Ebba and Peter Vuust play together this afternoon, creating a melodic universe with room for improvisation. Ebba is currently studying at Berklee College of Music.

Peter Vuust is a professor at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music, director of the Center for Music in the Brain, and one of the country's most popular "sidemen". He will accompany Ebba's music for this afternoon's concert. In April 2022, Peter's 7th album Further To Fly was released together with the family band 5 x Vuust. Peter has also been nominated for a DMA for the CD September Song.
