New arrangements of select jazz classics

Dan Hjort / Jacob Danielsen Duo takes its cues from the American songbook and jazz standards. They have selected their favorite songs and will perform them in their own arrangements.

Dan Hjorth Jensen is an upcoming pianist on the Danish jazz scene. After graduating from the Academy he is now ready to conquer the world with his fantastic, creative, and responsive piano playing. Possessing a very high level of empathy and immersion, as well as dazzling technique, he opens the way to big stories.

Jacob Danielsen is getting long in the tooth on the Danish jazz scene. In 2017, Jacob received the Jazzselskabet's Gaffelpris-award and is a daily fixture in many different parts of the jazz scene, both as bandleader and sideman, including as a frequently used back-up for Aarhus Jazz Orchestra. Jacob's playing is best characterized by great expressiveness, empathy, and nerve.
