Wide-ranging and complex ensemble

Since early 2019, saxophonist Marcus Wärnheim and pianist Karin Ingves have been working closely together, exploring musical boundaries, and working intensely with conceptual ideas and free improvisation.

With a strong focus on wide-ranging and complex ensemble playing, the duo creates a unique expression of textures and meditative patience.

In March 2022, they released their first album as a duo, Split Series vol. 1, on the record label FRIMRec. The same release also features two legendary Swedish improvisers, Mattias Windemo and Raymond Strid.
