Original and Modern Trio Jazz

Kosmos Trio plays original, modern jazz in a minimalist and Nordic soundscape. An up-and-coming, young trio that always searches for what resonates the most with themselves and their listeners during their concerts.

In October 2022, the trio released their debut album Brev Til En Ven, which was warmly received at home and abroad. Politiken gave the album four hearts, compared it to Paul Motian and Esbjörn Svensson Trio, and wrote:

"Kosmos Trio manages to stand out with an album that not only, considering the young age of the musicians, is impressively well-crafted, but sometimes also reveals more bite and edge from a temperament other than the mild and harmonious." 

The album has been given radio airplay on P8 Jazz and featured in several international jazz magazines, including Jazz Journal UK, which wrote:

"Brev Til En Ven is a release of original, leanly rendered yet highly atmospheric compositions with pensive melancholy and vibrant affirmation held in stimulating balance throughout." 

Kosmos Trio possesses an immediacy and a simple, understandable language that weaves itself into the often complex compositions. A field of tension that makes Kosmos Trio an interesting and versatile group, whose musical sensitivity makes for an intimate and memorable concert experience.
