Fusion Across Genres, Styles, and Geography

KÖZ is an emerging Aarhusian band with ties to the Roots and Hybrid scene. The band fuses genres and styles from distant lands with modern Western notes.

The music encourages dancing as well as reflection. Rock, hip-hop, jazz, and Afro-grooves are mixed with offbeat tones and time signatures, and melancholic floating universes from the cold north.

There is no hierarchy or designated songwriters in the band. Songs are created in the moment when all eight band members are present and are often based on a small idea or improv session.

KÖZ's music really comes into its own when the band plays live where the interaction between the band members on stage – and not least with the audience – brings the project to its full potential.

The band has previously opened for Junglelyd and AddisAbabaBand, well-known bands in the Danish Roots and Hybrid scene.
