Young Singer with a Passion for Swing and Storytelling

Stella Gustin is a Swedish 22-year-old up-and-coming jazz vocalist with a unique stage presence and charisma, which she combines with her passion for swing and storytelling.

Inspired by Carmen McRae, Anita O'Day, and the Oscar Peterson Trio, Stella and her trio perform exciting new renditions of swinging standards from The Great American Songbook.

On this night, the quartet expands to a quintet with the addition of Rasmus Kirkholt. Rasmus is a 22-year-old tenor saxophonist from Aarhus, Denmark, who in recent years has studied at Skurups Folkhögskola in Sweden. Drawing inspiration from Coltrane, Seamus Blake, Walter Smith III, and Sonny Rollins, Rasmus brings hard bop's raw power and blues and acts as an intense melodic counterpart to the vocal storytelling.
