A Fresh Take on the Sax Trio Sound

With a mixed repertoire of standards and originals from the band members, Ingvarsson / Astrup / Wibell offers a fresh take on what a sax trio can sound like. 

The band consists of Swedish Isak Ingvarsson and Malte Wibell and Danish Jakob Astrup, residents and students at the conservatories in Stockholm and Berlin.

Together, they work on combining the complexity and thoughtfulness of German music with the melodiousness and straightforwardness of Scandinavian music. 

All three musicians are on the cutting edge of the European jazz scene and have played tons of concerts in this and many other constellations.
