Scandinavian Melancholy and the Pulsating Rhythms of the South
Join us for a Sunday funday at Palmehaven, sit back, and soak up the sun. The dish of the day is a hearty, Danish-language medley of bossa, samba, and folk art served by the always cheerful and very local Trubaduren.
The final line-up for the day is still unknown, but at a minimum, it will consist of Tobias Stjernholm (vocals and trumpet) and Rasmus Bak Christiansen (guitar).
Trubaduren is a folk band that plays atmospheric, Danish-language original music that evokes everything from the dusty sidewalk restaurants of Buenos Aires to the cobblestone squares of Copenhagen.
Genre-wise, the band ranges from Danish folk art, jazz, samba, bossa nova to folk rock. In doing so, they join a proud tradition of Nordic troubadours who, in different ways, have turned their gaze to warmer skies and let Scandinavian melancholy mingle with the pulsating rhythms of the south.
