Catchy and diverse jazz trio. The current version of Uffe Steen Trio has been around for five years, having performed numerous successful concerts. The band’s music prospers from being dynamic and full of surprises. The repertoire is diverse with catchy tunes performed with intensity as well as humour. Uffe Steen reached a milestone in artistic recognition when he received the prestigious Ben Webster award in 2015, which is reserved for the nation’s very best jazz musicians. Steen has performed with a large number of renowned jazz and blues artists throughout his long career. He is known for his unique technique and catchy and riveting style. His latest three albums Play, Dust In My Coffee and Twangz have received international recognition. Thomas Sejthen is the solid rock in the trio’s maelstrom, delivering exciting and novel solos to counter the guitar. Jesper Bo Knudsen is the sound equilibrist whose drums make the music flow and melt together. He follows closely in the soloist’s slipstream and is ready at the exact moment of escalation. Uffe Steen Trio will be recording a new studio album in June 2016.
