Celebrating the Divas of Jazz

The English first lady of jazz visits Cafe Støj as a guest soloist with the café's house trio under the direction of conductor Kristian Leth.

There's a special fire burning in Claire Martin. A strong will to bring the music out to the audience. She is known for being an amazing performer who does not leave her audience until she is sure everyone got what they came for: an unforgettable concert.

Despite countless awards, including the Order of the British Empire from the British Royal Family, intense concert and touring activity across most of the world, as well as 20 releases on her CV, Claire Martin is not a lady about to take it easy.

Over the past two years, she has released three more critically acclaimed albums: Bumpin (Stunt 2019), Believin' It (LINN 2019), and Songs and Stories (Stunt 2020). It is a testimony to Claire Martin remaining among the top of Europe's best jazz vocalists.

Claire Martin has a warm voice and an elegant and seductive style. She is able to embrace jazz in its entirety from the classical standard repertoire to newer compositions and jazzy interpretations of songs from other genres.

Claire is unbeatable and sets the standard for all us singers.
