You take a large bucket (preferably blue), fill it with equal parts funk, soul, and rock, stir it thoroughly with a tight and firm hand, sprinkle with a little blues, and top with a twinkle in the eye. Bake in a warm rehearsal room at about 20 degrees (celsius) for seven years, and then you have it: Chris Gray & The BlueSpand.
