This competent quartet plays acoustic jazz based on original compositions by Duke Ellington, Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Keith Jarrett, Kenni Barron, and Jens Klüver.
Jens Klüver, former leader of Klüver's Big Band through 35 years, has in recent years devoted himself to his work as a jazz musician in duo, trio, and quartet formats, and also performs as a soloist and conductor for big bands. He is known as an enthusiastic communicator and places emphasis on involving the audience and creating interest in the diversity of jazz music.
Esben Tjalve studied at The Royal Academy Of Music in London and later took a Master in Composition from The Guildhall School Of Music. For 17 years, he has been part of the English jazz scene and has also composed music for films, television, and documentaries.
Jesper Carlsen played for many years at Jazzbar Bent J with foreign guest soloists and is now a permanent member of Arosia and Randers Big Band.
Frederik Bülow plays with BBNJQ, Abekejser, Balvig/Bülow/Christensen, and JAF Trio. He also teaches at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.
