A tribute to bands with two on tenor sax

Tough Tenors is a tribute to old bands from the 50s and 60s with two tenor saxophonists, featuring music by Hank Mobley, Thelonius Monk, Lee Morgan, Dexter Gordon, Blue Mitchell, and Jens Klüver

Jens Klüver, former leader of Klüver's Big Band for 35 years, has in recent years devoted himself to his work as a jazz musician in duo, trio, and quartet formats and has also performed as a soloist and conductor for big bands.

Finn Odderskov has been part of the Aarhus jazz scene since the 1960s. Finn Odderskov has played as a soloist with small groups and as a permanent member of Arosia, Bourbon Street Jazzband, Peder Pedersen's Big Band, and Klüvers Big Band, and has conducted Fredericia Big Band.

Esben Tjalve studied at The Royal Academy Of Music in London and later took a Master in Composition from The Guildhall School Of Music. For 17 years, he has been part of the English jazz scene and has also composed music for films, television, and documentaries.

Torben Bjørnskov is a versatile bassist who has played with both foreign soloists and Danish bands. He has also released CDs as a solo artist.

Gustav Hagelskjær is a young upcoming drummer studying at The Royal Academy of Music. He has played with Thirsty Night Big Band and the Danish Youth Jazz Orchestra and is a co-founder of Kosmos Trio.
