Concert is canceled!

The Jazz Festival is the time of year when the country's jazz musicians crawl out of the dark rehearsal rooms, defy all requirements for reasonable circadian rhythms, and give everything they have to weave a musical tapestry of thoughts, ideas, and dialogue in real-time for anyone who is curious enough to listen.

This year, we may have to crawl a little longer than usual, because it has been too quiet for too long around the venues.

But not tonight! - We have found the four boys who in previous years have been responsible for HQ's jazz program to host an evening of fun, drinks, and good music.

Scott Westh brings his New Orleans-inspired cool jazz trumpet, Simon Eskildsen takes on the blue keys, Adrian Christensen plays the entire fingerboard, and Daniel Sommer makes sure it swings in all the right directions.

So come by and enjoy an evening with some of the best standards from the variegated music tradition and maybe an original or two. If the circumstances are right, the band will continue to play after the concert and host a jam session after closing time.
