Tango for two passionate musicians

The duo's repertoire consists of some of the most famous tangos from the classical period, including Piazzolla's Tango Nuevo, as both Roberto Sarno and Patricio Moya are passionate about spreading awareness about authentic Argentine tango. And we dare promise the audience a concert experience beyond the usual when the two passionate musicians display their musical ability. They are known for not only playing at a technically high level but also for having the skill to express themselves both sensitively, lyrically, explosively – and humorously.

Violinist Roberto Sarno was already admitted to the conservatory in his hometown of Bari at the age of 10. Over the years, he has performed and furthered his education in Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. He moved to Denmark in 1997 and has, among other things, played with the Randers Kammerorkester as well as the Odense, Aalborg, Aarhus, and Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester. Roberto Sarno has also performed as a soloist at home and in Europe, the US, Canada, and Israel. In addition, he has played in chamber music ensembles and has received numerous awards and scholarships. During a stay in the United States, he spent a year touring with the famous Broadway tango show Forever Tango and lost his heart to tango music here. His passion is so great that he has now had his own tango band for 10 years.

Pianist Patricio Moya has lived in Denmark for several years, where he is the founder and general manager of Aarhus Piano Academy. He has a diverse musical background and has during his career played concerts with symphony orchestras, performed on television, and produced film music. And then he actually grew up with tango music since his father was a professional tango pianist. Patricio Moya has performed as a soloist and as a member of various tango ensembles and accompanied some of the world's most iconic tango musicians. For the last 10 years, he has also been a regular artist at the largest and most famed tango festival in the world, Cumbre Mundial del Tango.
