Lyrical and poetic improvisation
Mette Hommel is a flutist, performer, and improviser. Through free improvisation, she moves in the intersection between classical and rhythmic music and has played with both pop bands and jazz musicians.
Over the past year, she has studied improvisation with Professor Anto Pett in Tallinn and has begun experimenting with electronic effects, creating tapestries of flute sounds, and working with advanced techniques.
The music turns into a lyrical and poetic attempt to convey the emotions that one cannot put into words.
