A tribute to the classics

The trio was formed to pay homage to the old school standards and virtues: melody, swing, and acoustic sound.

We will celebrate the standard songbook repertoire from which so much original music has been created throughout jazz history.

Saxophonist Cesar Joaniquet (Barcelona 1988) has emerged as an important new voice in the musical improvisation scene. He performs throughout Scandinavia and Spain in various environments and configurations.

Rooted in jazz tradition, he creates music inspired by a host of contemporary influences, resulting in a sound that is lyrical, at times orchestral, but above all topical.
