Raw and unsweetened

Northfield brings a sound and lyrical universe that exudes the type of raw and unsweetened music that the band believes has become scarce. The forthcoming record was made in a garage loft in Jutland without computers or drum machines, which has provided the breeding ground for an album with an organic sound.

The lyrics are inspired by Norwegian author Erlend Loe's books about the character Doppler, who, while in an existential crisis, gives society the middle finger and returns to nature. Lead singer Simon Nordmark has revealed that the band's new album A Place Beyond The Pines will be out this summer (2022).

The music mainly falls into the rock genre, but the band leaves room for jazzy improvisations.
