Young Aarhus trio inspired by some of jazz's greats

Bjørn Nitschke Trio is an Aarhus-based trio consisting of Bjørn Nitschke, and Gustav Lauridsen on double bass, and Jakob Carsten Verdoner on drums.

They will play a concert with a mix of their own compositions as well as more or less familiar pieces written by other composers.

Stylistically, the group draws inspiration from Paul Motian, Bill Frisell, Jakob Bro, and Thelonious Monk, and their approach to music is strongly influenced by the element of improvisation.
