Take a tour of central Aarhus and discover some of the city's many historic music spots

A music-savvy AarhusGuide (who also edits the program for Aarhus Jazz Festival) shares the significance of the former venues and the enthusiasts and music scenes around them that shaped the music city that Aarhus is today.

Aarhus has always been a music city, hosting some of Denmark's greatest musicians and providing a stage for numerous international greats.

Throughout 2022, Aarhus will be celebrated as a music city under the title Music City Aarhus 2022, focusing on its current state, its past, and its future.

Byens Lydspor marks some of Aarhus' most important musical landmarks with a series of signs, which this free guided city tour explores. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the historical impact of music as the tour passes by the places where history actually unfolded.

Come along and hear some of the many stories and anecdotes about the different venues and their importance to music.

The tour is organized by Music City Aarhus 2022 in cooperation with AarhusGuiderne.
