Meaningful, Demanding, and Curious Jazz   

PESH's story begins at one of the biggest jazz venues in Norway - Victoria Nasjonaljazzscene. This is where the band met under the Intll Jazz Platform, an exchange program for young artists from all over Europe.

The band immediately found a common approach to performing and creating music. This became the driving force behind the formation of a quartet where respect for both Norwegian and Polish culture is an essential focal point, and musical interaction is the goal.

The blend of Nordic and Slavic has been present in European jazz for many years, and the quartet has both drawn on this connection and endeavored to breathe new life into it.

The adjective PESHISH means meaningful, demanding, curious, and respectful.
