Blues with a Fresh and Modern Twist

Big O & The Blue Quarters is a Danish blues band that has managed to make a name for itself on the national music scene with its unique musical talent and captivating live performances. 

The band consists of five experienced musicians, each of whom contributes to the unique sound: Oscar "Big O" Eriksen on harmonica and vocals, Filip Dybjerg on bass, Mathias Rindom on drums, and Frederik Tygesen and Søren Schack on guitar. 

Big O & The Blue Quarters' music is a mix of traditional blues and modern elements that give the music a breath of fresh air, making it interesting for both blues enthusiasts and new listeners. With their raw voice, virtuoso guitar riffs, and energetic performance, the band manages to get any party going and create a unique atmosphere. 

The band has played on countless stages and festivals in Denmark, including Horsens Rock I lunden, Horsens Blues Alive, Randers City Bluesfestival, Den Blå Festival (Aalborg), Aarhus Festuge, Fatter Eskil, Gyngen, Kulisselageret, HNT, and the German Eutin Blues Festival. 

The band is grounded in West Coast and Chicago blues and masters the swinging "Jump" blues in a way that makes it hard to sit still. As the band evolves, it also moves into more modern, experimental blues, eventually finding its unique sound.
