Jazz United by Good Melodies

Kwella, Bisgaard, Friis interpret their favorite songs from The Great American and Danish songbooks. 

With good melody as the common denominator, the concert's repertoire will gently lead you through heartfelt folk music, funky soul jazz, gently swaying bossa nova, and flighty bebop.  

Jens Christian Kwella, Peter Friis, and Ulrik Bisgaard have been playing together for 27 years. Together and separately, with bands such as TangoJazz, Big Butter, Hede Hule Hot and Saluzzi, Fracchi, and Bisgaard Trio, they have left their mark on the Danish jazz scene. The trio's music demonstrates a highly empathetic and listening ensemble that alternates between dense groovy passages and open sequences, where the three musicians take you out into the deep waters of improvisation.  

Look forward to a versatile musical experience that ranges from Charlie Parker to the medieval song Drømte mig en drøm i nat (Dreamed Me a Dream Last Night).
