The Vuust family plays Paul Simon

The surname Vuust is usually associated with some of the best jazz music Denmark has to offer. Now you can experience five of them when the Vuust family takes the stage at Salling ROOFTOP during the afternoon.  

The quintet plays interpretations of Paul Simon's songs in arrangements by Peter Vuust, which were released on their first album Further to Fly in April 2022.  

5 x Vuust have together appeared on more than 190 records and individually performed in a wide range of musical contexts.

Singer Clara Vuust has released three albums as a jazz soloist, most recently Before You Walk Away, and has received excellent reviews for her crystal clear sound and distinguished interpretations.

Saxophonist Christian Vuust is known for his in-depth work with the Nordic tone in his music.

Bassist Peter Vuust belongs to the elite of jazz musicians and has appeared on more than 100 CDs, seven of them under his own name. He is also a professor and director of the Center for Music In the Brain at Aarhus University and the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus. Peter has also been nominated for a DMA for his CD September Song.

Peter's two sons Frederik and Mikkel, on piano and drums respectively, are part of the young up-and-coming generation of jazz musicians in Denmark. Frederik studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Jutland, majoring in piano, and Mikkel studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.  

All in all, the stage is set for a well-swinging and exciting family reunion at Salling ROOFTOP.
