Musical Commentary on Climate Change

Stormflod og Tørke is new music that reflects the ever-increasing weather-related consequences of climate change.

Through sound (electronic processing in surround sound) and dance, the composers comment on the growing climate challenges and the wide range between, for example, the phenomena of storm surge and drought.

Winds, drums, keyboards, and electronics in creative and collaborative hands provide a wealth of possibilities.

About ToneArt

The composers' association ToneArt includes a large number of the country's leading composers who write for larger ensembles on the rhythmic scene in a wider context.

The association was founded in 1998 to focus on exploratory and experimental music, preferably for large ensembles with an emphasis on the compositional element.

The association helps organize concerts for the members' existing ensembles but is now focusing even more on bringing workshop concerts such as those described above. In this way, ToneArt is helping to create new exciting constellations where there is room for wonderfully diverse experiments, where musical and artistic boundaries can be crossed, the road be paved for emerging musical "crossroads", and where areas of tension can be explored.
