Swinging, Groovy, and Funky Trio Jazz

Kwella Trio loves, groove, swing, and nerve, while at the same time emphasizing their ensemble, interaction, and unpredictability. 

The repertoire will be a mix of Kwella's own tunes, swinging jazz standards, and funky grooves.

All three musicians have been part of the Danish jazz scene for many years. Their many years of combined experience give rise to an intense ensemble and attentive expression.

Jens Christian Kwella is currently working on his latest album GuitarRama Jazzical with new music for electric and classical guitar. He boasts an extensive resume and has played with stars such as Randy Brecker (US), Marc Johnson (US), and Eliane Elias (BR).

Peter Friis is one of the most utilized bassists in Aarhus and has played with Jesper Thilo, Finn Odderskov, Trio Before, and many others.

Kristoffer Lysgaard has for many years distinguished himself as one of Aarhus' best drummers in a wide range of contexts, including Sam And The Soulmates.
