The Jazz Crooner (DK/CL)

Lukas Moya Obel (voc), Patricio Moya (p)

A Tribute to the Great Crooners of Jazz

When father and son take to the stage for this portrait concert, there will hardly be a dry eye left. Expect high-level music and humor, as well as art and culture.

You'll hear music from legends like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Nat King Cole in delightful duo renditions, with Lukas' crisp voice accompanied by hot-blooded pianist Patricio Moya. Between them, they have laid the groundwork for a very special portrait concert that pays tribute to the great crooners of jazz, where there is also room for new songs in good old-fashioned crooner style.

Lukas Moya Obel. The son of a renowned tango pianist from Chile, Lukas' life has always been full of music, singing, dancing, and acting. So it's no wonder that Lukas has thrown himself into something as grand and flamboyant as all the good old Frank Sinatra tunes, Dean Martin classics, and Nat King Cole hits - naturally delivered with a good dose of Latin Love. As a young trained actor, musician, and singer, Lukas is a storyteller and communicator of beautiful standard jazz as well as anecdotes about the great crooners from the world of jazz.

Patricio Moya on the grand piano. Patricio Moya is a recognized pianist both in and outside Denmark. Patricio started playing the piano as a child in Chile, following the example of his father who was a tango pianist. Nothing ever got between him and the piano, and nothing ever will. Patricio Moya made a career for himself as a pianist, has played with renowned artists all over the world, and has also been responsible for major productions. He is particularly known for his incredibly beautiful and passionate performances in the genres of tango and jazz.
