Trois Petites Notes (DK)

Samara Bahrami (voc), Lars Grand (acc), Morten Haugshøj (g)

Seasoned Trio Give Old and New Chanson a Loving Treatment

Playing all over the country in all kinds of different combinations and bands, the three strong soloists have now joined forces in this trio that plays the very best of the French back catalog.

Samara Bahrami is the lead singer. She brings French songs to life with great empathy, precision, and presence while taking the audience on a journey through French musical tradition.

Samara is a formidable storyteller who knows how to get the audience into the great stories behind the music,  lyrics, and especially the personalities.

Edith Piaf, Georges Brassens, Django Reinhardt, and others are presented with an anecdote or two along the way, and the audience will be introduced to several living French musicians and composers. Samara is also active in bands such as Sam and the Soulmates, Zetterlund Tribute, The Tarantino Twist Show, and Amy Winehouse Tribute.

Lars Grand is an experienced accordion player who specializes in old ballads and songs as well as Italian and French melodies. He always focuses on the great sound and atmospheric timbre of his Italian accordion. Lars is a true performer who is always confident in his style, whether he is playing French melodies or old Danish sailor songs. The accordion has given him access to hundreds of performances in concert halls, community centers, harbor parties, and events of all kinds and sizes.

Morten Haugshøj is an established jazz composer and guitarist who, in addition to his excellent swing, and impressive and virtuosic lines, brings a lot of edge and energy to the bands he participates in. Morten is a frequent visitor to Danish jazz clubs and scenes in various contexts, such as Dexterity, Balthazar's Karaffel, Sam and the Soulmates, and not least his own group Morten Haugshøj Group & The Street Doctors, who released its second album Double Up in the fall of 2022.
