Aarhus Jazz Festival is an umbrella organization with 40-45 organizer members who organize concerts during the festival. We are a non-profit association with a board of directors and a secretariat that handles the day-to-day operations, i.e. the overall planning of the festival including application for funding, publication of a joint program in Danish and English, updating of the website, Facebook, poster, T-shirts, banners in Aarhus City and other marketing as well as general information about the festival.
Booking info. The individual organizers book their own concerts. If you want to be considered, you must contact the relevant organizers directly. You can find information about organizers and venues by clicking on the links below. Aarhus Jazz Festival's secretariat books individual concerts and special projects and can provide general guidance about the festival.
Deadlines etc. For many organizers, decisions regarding the booking of artists are made at the end of the year before the next festival and towards our deadline for the printed program, which is usually at the beginning of April. Some bookings, especially at the larger venues, however, is carried out a longer time in advance.
