The Aarhus Jazz Festival Association is separated into two units: The Executive Commitee and the Secretariat. The board and the secretariat manage the general planning of the festival including overall program in Danish and English, website, facebook, posters, T-shirts, banner in the streets of Aarhus, general publicity and press.
The association organizes approx. 50 concerts at Klostertorvet and Bispetorvet, Jazz For Children at the multi media center Dokk1 and some special projects, whereas the main part of the concerts are organized by the individual venues/cafés respectively, but often in cooperation with the festival – see list of venues here. All are members of the festival association.
The Aarhus Jazz Festival receives subsidies from The City of Aarhus, The Danish Arts Foundation, Aarhus Events, Aarhuus Stiftstidendes Fond and in 2017 funding from Fonden Aarhus 2017 when Aarhus is European Capital of Culture and EU Japan Fest.
