Lisa Ekdal is the first international artist ready for Aarhus Jazz Festival 2024

Musikhuset Aarhus presents a jazz gala with Lisa Ekdal & Aarhus Jazz Orchestra on Friday 12 July 2024

You can already look forward to Aarhus Jazz Festival 2024, which takes place 13-20. July next summer. Sweden's most beautiful voice kicks off the jazz party when Grammy-winning singer Lise Ekdal takes the stage with the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra for a jazz gala in Musikhuset.

Since Lisa Ekdahl broke through in 1994, she has enchanted fans and reviewers. With laid-back style, fragility and sensitivity, the Swedish star makes each and every live concert unique. Lisa Ekdahl most recently released the album GRAND SONGS in 2021, where she interprets several of her favorite artists. The album offers hits by, among others, Beyoncé, Carole King, Diana Ross and Bob Dylan, which are given loving musical treatment.

At the jazz gala, you can look forward to hearing both Lisa Ekdahl's newer music and songs from her stylish back catalogue. On stage are the 17 musicians of the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra and the always charismatic conductor Nikolai Bøgelund. Expect a fantastic evening, which will be filled with beautiful tones and a moving voice, combined with the big band's magnificent sound and delicious jazz atmosphere.
