Randers Big Band feat. Karmen Rõivassepp (DK/EE)
Standards spiced with Latin notes
The Randers-based big band, Randers Big Band, is one of the best in Denmark, particularly when it comes to swing music.
The big band was formed in 1980 by Palle Hundborg. Since then, the band has undergone great developments and now tours in Denmark and abroad with numerous projects.
At Aarhus Jazz Festival 2018, the big band performs at Ridehuset Swings for a concert full of standards spiced with Latin notes and beats. Bandleader Peter Brem has composed the music and the up-and-coming, Aarhus-based jazz singer Karmen Röivassepp will be singing.
