Exotic rhythms and colourful compositions

Drummer and composer Snorre Kirk has been a regular guest at international jazz clubs and festivals for many years, where he has made a name for himself as a sideman with some of the most prominent jazz artists from Scandinavia as well as international names like Diane Schuur, Stephen Riley, and Eric Reed.

With the critically acclaimed debut album Blues Modernism from 2012, which received both the JazzSpecial award for release of the year and two nominations for at Danish Jazz Awards, Snorre Kirk stepped into character as a composer and bandleader.

Two subsequent releases Europa (2015) and Drummer & Composer (2017), led to his international breakthrough with performances at some of the world's leading jazz festivals, including the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival, The Art of Swing Festival in Kansas City as well as Pori Jazz Festival in Finland.

In the summer of 2018, Snorre Kirk's fourth album BEAT, which is Snorre Kirk's most ambitious and personal project to date with its eclectic mix of exotic rhythms and colorful compositions
