Free jazz created on stage and in rehearsal
Veritas is a band that works with the more unrestricted side of jazz. The songs are often composed from jam sessions, where the band tries to feel the music, both on stage and in rehearsal.
They are inspired by the likes of Avishai Cohen Trio and Mark Guilliana Jazz Quartet.
The music is a mixture of fine melodies over light and vibrant drumming and a more fierce experimental side of jazz that may shift according to the mood of the room and the musicians' mutual understanding of the moment.
The band strives to give the audience an experience that brings them into different moods, physically and emotionally.
The concert is arranged in collaboration with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (MS), which operates the Dome's Café on a daily basis. MS works towards bringing democracy and influence to the world's poorest and is part of ActionAid International, which is fighting to eliminate poverty in more than 40 countries.
The Dome is run by Aarhus Municipality, as part of De forenede Bylivshuse.
