Jazz standards with a contemporary twist

There are so many beautiful classical jazz standards. The band has selected some of their favorites and are looking forward to playing them for the Summerjazz crowd.

Kristoffer Gori Verdoner (bandleader): - One of my personal favorites is The Peacocks composed by Jimmy Rowles. Bill Evans and Stan Getz made such a beautiful live version of this song back in 1974. Hence the band is named The Peacocks.

The four young musicians are all extremely active on the Danish music scene and participate in many different projects ranging from jazz to hip hop, country, blues, pop, rock, soul, and RnB.

So while the theme may be classic jazz standards, they will feature a contemporary twist with elements from different genres that match the band members' different musical expressions.
